Secondary Schools' Track & Field 

Toco Secondary emerged the top school at this year’s Secondary Schools Track and Field Championships which took place on April 15 and 16 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo. 

Toco swept the Male and Female School division after two days of action and landed a similar sweep in the under 18 division winning the boys and girls categories. The school of 2012 Olympic men’s javelin champion also captured the girls over 18 class.  Toco’s success was duo mainly to the effort of Ayana Glasgow who was voted the Victrix Ludorium Award as the top female performer. Competing in the Girls under 18 division, Glasgow won the girls high jump and was second in the 100m hurdles, long jump and javelin and has been a member of T&T Carifta team since 2013. Another Toco athlete, Troy Richards took home the boys under 18 trophy.  Toco Secondary contributed valuable points for the North East Zone which finished third behind Tobago and Port of Spain and Environs.  Glasgow and Richard collected their awards at the  prize giving ceremony of the Trinidad and Tobago Secondary Schools Track and Field Association at the Larry Gomes, Stadium, Arima on Wednesday, 3, June. Tobago District won the national title for record 25th straight year.

At the Relay Festivals held in February, Toco again was outstanding emerging with the Champion School and the Top Female School Awards.

Glasgow won the girls under  20 high jump and was second in the javelin, 100m hurdles and long jump events at this year's National Secondary Secondary Schools Track and Field Championships at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo on April 15 and 16.
